Astorga in a day: a guide for those who live here

Astorga is the part of El Poblado where you can still sleep. It can be crossed on foot in minutes, and a whole day fits into those few blocks: corner bakeries, neighborhood restaurants, small shops, and a park that serves as the sector's living room.
This is, more or less, the route we recommend at the front desk when someone asks where to start.
Morning · The neighborhood wakes up slowly
Start with breakfast. At Ganso & Castor, the hotel's bistro, the coffee is ready early and the pastries are made in-house. If you prefer not to come down, the same bistro can bring it up to your room.
Afterward, go for a walk. El Poblado Park is just steps away: old trees, benches, and the rhythm of a neighborhood that is still in no rush at that hour. It is the best time to understand why Astorga feels different from the rest of El Poblado.
Midday · Manila Neighborhood
A few minutes' walk away is Manila, one of the areas with the best cuisine in the zone: signature dishes, specialty coffee shops, and old houses converted into restaurants. It's a good plan for a long lunch, without reservations or protocol.
Afternoon · Provenza, if you crave noise
Provenza is the commercial corridor of El Poblado: Colombian designer stores, terraces, ice cream parlors, and people. It has more energy and more volume than Astorga, which is why it works well as a mid-afternoon excursion. You go, look around, buy something, and come back.
Evening · Back to the quiet street
The best part of staying in Astorga comes at the end of the day: you walk back and the noise stays behind. At the hotel, something might be happening—a tasting, a listening session, an exhibit—or nothing at all, which is also a plan.
